Fully immersive

Our process is unique.

We work “infield”— fully immersing ourselves in the school and district as opposed to relying solely on virtual consultations or occasional training sessions.

This is rooted in the deep belief, experience and research base that job-embedded modeling, practice and coaching is what changes human behaviors and builds skill.

After a diagnostic phase of artifact review, leader interviews and sometimes visits to the schools, we create a plan of action with the leaders that includes deliverables and goals achieved through activities such as:

  • Recurring site visits to examine the intersection of student tasks, teacher and student interactions, and leader and teacher interactions in order to provide real time coaching to leaders.

  • Targeted professional development series for school and district leaders coupled with follow-up site visits to observe and coach implementation of the learning.

  • Weekly virtual coaching that leverages video of leader practice and other artifacts.

From time to time, we provide interim or fractional leadership for clients experiencing critical leadership vacancies at the principal manager level or higher.

The long-term vision is for clients to establish internal capacity and talent to sustain the practices they develop. Most clients start with a robust engagement up front and wind down their commitment over 1 or more years.
